Sire: Hazelwood Conman

In January 1999, a bay colt came into the world at Lightview, Goondiwindi. The foal was special by parentage (by Dogwood Comet out of the legendary mare, Hazelwood Romance), but the question was would he succeed in his own right? A truly great sire needs three things: a great pedigree; a successful performance record of his own and proven progeny.

Hazelwood Conman has all of this and more.

Conman’s achievements are endless, 

including 33 wins and 64 placings and include the following:

• Warwick Stallion Draft Champion, 2008

• Hebel Open, 2009

• Dirranbandi Ladies, 2009

• 2nd – Condamine Open, 2009

• Chinchilla Grandfather Clock, 2009

• Barnes Trophy, 2009

• Champion of Champions at Warwick, 2009

Terry and Conman were leading going into the final of the 2009 Warwick Gold Cup, and Conman finished equal third behind his own daughter, Concert. Terry and Conman also won the highest cut-out award in the Champion of Champions and Canning Downs drafts at Warwick.
